SEASON BEDS
SEASON BEDS

Be prepared!

GETTING A JOB

Some of you will have contacted us through your new employer. Others might be simply doing what thousands (including us) have also done before; taking a plunge and deciding to head to resort and get a job there! If you plan to do the latter, do make sure you bring multiple copies of a one-page printed CV.

Having a bed secured makes you much more employable and of course gives you that extra level of comfort if you don't find your dream job on day one. You should arrive no later than late November (that is why we make the beds available from the 20/11), and be prepared to do lots of asking, selling (yourself), talking and walking. Most people don't get jobs on their first day of trying, so don't give up. Walk around the different bars, restaurants, hotels, ski shops etc. as there are plenty of jobs for all of you. Everyone who wants to work does find a job! Remember, being out in a ski resort is about being able to ski and socialise, and these requires money. So be prepared to try something new and work hard. If you do, you will be fine and have the time of your life.

Be aware that everyone wants to work as a bar tender, but demand is always high. We have contacts with many employers in the village, so if you are looking for work please feel free to let us know and we can help circulate your CV. Once you have secured your bed with us we can send you a list of employer contacts so you can avoid having to wait until you arrive to get a job. We are happy to print some CV's for you. Try and skim this down to a 1 page summary, employers have many to read so the quicker and more appealing the better!
